Q. Why does BeerHopper require a gmail account?

A. BeerHopper is intended to be a long term account of all the beers you've tried. You'll probably have more than one iPhone over the years and we want to make sure that your history stays with you. To that end BeerHopper stores your info in a custom Google AppEngine database. Google provides authentication to AppEngine based sites to keep your info safe. Stay tuned for some great features in BeerHopper that use everyone's information to help you find new beers to try.
